Camp Double G

Nearly every year since 1956, individuals served by Orange Grove have gathered at the Double G Ranch on the shores of Lake Chickamauga for a week of summer fun at Camp Double G, a week-long summer camp for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

The 400-acre lakefront property of the Double G Ranch was owned by Chattanooga civic leader and investment entrepreneur Gordon Street at the time of the first Camp Double G. The first year of camp saw 28 campers from age 7 to 31 staying in 12 cabins scattered throughout the Ranch, and in the many decades since, our many camp counselor alumni have become valuable leaders of our community.

We are currently seeking counselors and junior counselors for Camp Double G 2025! If you would like to learn more about counseling opportunities, please contact:

We would love to reconnect with camp counselors from previous years who may have fallen out of touch with Orange Grove. If you or someone you know was a camp counselor at Camp Double G, we'd love to hear from you!

Please reach out to us at development@orangegrove.org, and tell us all about your time at camp.
