Darcy Owens began her career at Orange Grove Center in 1984. As the Assistant Director of Adult Services, Owens assists with the oversight of Departments including: Community Supports, Recycling, Employment, Georgia, and Adult Services Hiring Department. During her tenure she has had many different roles including: Rotating Vocational Supervisor, Client Program Coordinator, Social Worker, Children Service's Classroom Teacher, Principal, and Director of Education and Training which involved oversight of the School Department whereas she supervised 13 classrooms, the school's nurses department, transportation, recreation, music, and behavioral support services. Past responsibilities have also included assistance with the oversight of the Document Destruction and Nutrition Services programs.

Owens has thoroughly enjoyed all her past and present positions both within the Adult and Children Service's programs. Her favorite passion is working directly with individuals in an academic/vocational capacity.

Owens is a graduate of the State University of New York College at Buffalo, New York, and has received her Master's Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga. In addition, she holds a Tennessee teachers license with Special Education Endorsement.
